“A Red, Red Rose”
-by Robert Burns (1759-96)
O my Luve’s like a red, red rose,
That’s newly sprung in June:
O my Luve’s like the melodie
That’s sweetly play’d in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.
And fare-thee-weel, my only Luve!
And fare-thee-weel, a while!
And I will come again, my Luve,
Tho’ ’twere ten thousand mile!
Happy Valentine’s Day to each of you today!

Happy Valentines Day. X
Happy Valentines Day, Shazza! How do you celebrate it in England?
Just a card, a nice meal ( Wil is cooking) and a film. X
Sounds like it was a lovely evening.
Watched The Mountain Between Us starring Kate Winslet. Was a bit far fetched but pretty ok.
Haven’t seen that one yet. I like Kate Winslet.
Happy Valentine´s Day!!
Happy Valentine’s Day, Darlene! How do you celebrate in Spain?
Hubby and I exchanged cards the same as we used to do in Canada. Some go out for a nice lunch or dinner but we stayed home and watched Midnight in Paris. Love that movie and perfect for Valentines. We plan to visit Paris in May. <3
I like that movie too! Sounds like a lovely evening. Paris in May sounds wonderful!
I love this song. A real classic.
Ol’ Rabbi Burns. 🙂
Bet you had a great time too, we did!
Oh yes. I’m at the beach! 🙂
A grand selection … and hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
Thanks, Frank. I did!
